Parents vs Kids Event FAQ

It’s a high‑energy family competition where kids take on their parents in Go‑Karts, Laser Tag, Batting Cages, and Mini Golf.

Families earn points each week, compete for bragging rights, and climb the season leaderboard (if they choose to be in the running for the Finale).

Each weekly event includes four competitions:

1. Go‑Kart Race-Off

2. Laser Tag Battle

3. Batting Cage Challenge

4. Mini Golf Relay (format changes weekly)

Each event is Kids vs Parents — every week is different and full of surprises.

Parents vs Kids Night runs for about 2 hours, including:

• Check‑in
• All four competitions
• Weekly awards
• Leaderboard updates

Yes — everyone participates in some way.

• Go‑Karts: Every family member drives
• Laser Tag: Everyone plays
• Batting Cages: Every family member gets 10 warm-up hits followed by 10 hits that count
• Mini Golf Relay: Everyone participates in the relay

No one sits on the sidelines.

Each event awards:

• 10 points to the winning team (Kids or Parents)
• Bonus points for things like:
  • Fastest lap
  • MVP
  • Best form
  • Hole‑in‑one
  • Best celebration
  • Best spirit
  • Social media tag

The family with the highest total points for the night earns +5 leaderboard points.

Yes — the scoring is completely fair, even if one family has 3 people and another has 4 or 5. We use an average‑based scoring system for every competition, which means each family’s score is divided by the number of participants they have that night. (Should families wish to compete for the Fantastic 5 Family Championship Finale)

This keeps everything balanced because:

• Bigger families don’t get extra scoring opportunities.   Their total points are averaged out, so having more players doesn’t give them an advantage.
• Smaller families aren’t penalized for having fewer people.   Their performance is measured by how well they do per person, not how many people they bring.
• Every event is judged by average score.  Whether it’s Go‑Karts, Laser Tag, Batting, or Mini Golf, all scoring is normalized so families compete on equal footing.

No matter your family size, the system ensures that the best performance wins — not the biggest team.

No — but attending more weeks gives you more chances to earn points and climb the leaderboard.

The Top 5 families on the leaderboard after all weekly events qualify for the Fantastic 5 Family Championship Finale. Want to keep it simple? No problem! You can opt out of being considered for the Finale.

It holds your family’s spot for the week. It is applied to your total at check‑in.

Just comfortable clothes, closed‑toe shoes, and your competitive spirit.

Families register online, choose their week, and place a $15 deposit.

The event is designed for fun first, competition second. All ages and skill levels can participate.
